Catalonia Plaza Cataluña is a refined 4-star hotel with a beautiful Modernist décor and architecture. Built in 1899 by architect Emilio Salas y Cortes, whose most famous pupil was Antonio Gaudí, the building of the Catalonia Cataluña Hotel is exemplary of Art Nouveau architecture. The most significant original features have been restored and preserved.

By bus,
from Barcelona-El Prat Airport: Take the Aerobus A1 outside the airport and
get off at 'Plaça Catalunya'. The bus leaves the airport every 12 minutes
from 6:00 a.m. to midnight (6:30 a.m. on weekends and holidays) and departs
from Plaça de Catalunya from 5:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. (6:00 a.m. on weekends).
Tickets can be purchased on the bus. The hotel is located next to Plaza
Catalunya and behind Catalunya metro station at Carrer de Bergara 11.
By bus/metro, from Girona Airport: Take the bus to Barcelona ‘Estació
del Nord’. Once there, walk to ‘Marina’ metro station and take metro line L1
direction ‘Hospital de Bellvitge’ and get off at ‘Catalunya’ metro station. Alternatively,
if you are not carrying heavy luggage you can easily walk towards Catalunya
Square until ‘Bergara’ Street. The hotel is located next to Plaza Catalunya and
behind Catalunya metro station at Carrer de Bergara 11.
From 1st November 2012 a tourist tax of EUR 1.25 per person (from the age of 16) per night applies, with a maximum of 7 nights' charge per person.
