A wonderful village house with great views set in a typically Spanish village restored to a high standard with new roof. Furnished and includes all white goods. The lovely village of Santa Cruz has a population of 544 and is set around gorgeous countryside. This is a great place for walking, cycling and photography. The river which runs through the village is perfect for long walks shaded by trees. The village has 3 bars, 1 of which serves good food, doctors, junior school, bakery, small supermarket, pharmacy, bank and a large communal swimming pool. The locals are so friendly and are very proud of this small village. There are daily deliveries of fresh bread, weekly deliveries of free range eggs, also melons and even gas bottles! The driver just beeps his horn to let you know he on his way. There is a small but friendly English community in the village. Alhama De Granada is 10 minutes away by car, famous for its natural thermal healing waters at the Balneario spa hotel. An hour drive to the coast and only 15 minutes to the stunning Bermejales Lake, the lake is crystal clear and surrounded by trees and mountains. Most days of the year you can swim in the lake and there are non-motorized boats to hire. The Spanish often have picnics here and everyone has a wonderful relaxing time. One of the other great things is that its free, no entrance fees and no car park charges. Malaga airport is 1 hour 10 minutes’ drive and has daily flights from most UK airports. Granada airport is 30 minutes’ drive and has flights from London City airport. Coast 1 hour, lake with beach 15 minutes and Skiing at Sierra Nevada 1 hour.
